5 Things I’m Loving at the Moment

I know I have said this to several of my friends lately, but I feel like I’ve been broken wide open. I am moving through some stagnant blocks, shedding old patterns and beliefs that no longer serve me and stepping into change. It’s been a whirlwind. Most of the time it is incredibly energizing, but it can also be exhausting. With all the change there is a natural push back, and there are moments when it feels like it’s too much. I have been arming myself with things that I love to help get me through this time of transition.

5 Things I’m Loving at the Moment:

#1: I am so grateful for my dear friend Amanda Odmark from Holistic Wellness. She is a fabulous and I mean FABULOUS holistic nutrition coach. Amanda approached me a month or so ago and asked if we could do a trade. I teach her yoga and she gives me coaching sessions. I know I got the better end of the deal. She is so intuitive and always seeks to help me get in touch with my whole body, mind and spirit. Love you girl. Plus she does over the phone coaching!

#2: I know that I have mentioned this in my oil pulling post, but I am loving the blog The Wellness Warrior by Jess Ainscough. Jess was a normal young party girl and at age 22 was diagnosed with cancer in her left arm and shoulder. Instead of treating herself with conventional methods, she sought out to cure her body holistically. She followed the Gerson Therapy Method and is now cancer free. Her blog is really inspirating, chalked full of great holistic advice, and hilarious videos. Plus you can’t resist her Australian accent.

#3: I have just begun reading this new book – The Spontaneous Healing of Belief: Shattering the Paradigm of False Limits by Gregg Braden. It was recommended to me by one of my mentors in doTERRA. It is so powerful. I am learning to change my belief patterns, find out the lies I’ve been believing, get in touch with the desires of my heart and start envisioning what I want and start moving there. I highly recommend reading this book. It is right in line with The Secret, if you have read that.

#4: I am addicted to making my own beauty products. I can’t believe I waited so long to make these. It is so easy, and super cheap – not to mention these homemade products are free of chemicals and toxins. It makes me feel like I am treating my body and skin well. My Favorite? Homemade Body Wash and Homemade Salve.

#5: I am obsessed with carrots right now. I get a huge amount every other week in my winter CSA box. I’ve been exploring how to cook them, outside of eating them raw. My favorite way to prepare them right now is to make glazed carrots with honey. To die for! The flavor of a fresh local carrot is out of this world! They are so sweet, and not to mention so healthy for you. Check out my post on: How to Creatively Use a Truckload of Carrots to read more about the health benefits.

So as you can see I am surrounding myself with positive things that make me feel strong, beautiful, positive and hopeful.

I’d love to hear your comments. What is something that you are loving right now?

Mary you’re so inspiring! I wanna hang out with you! I think you should start a weekly girls group to share about all the things your learning!

Let’s see, what is something I’m loving right now? Humm. Well, I’m loving painting. I’ve finished four paintings to date. However, I must say, when I finish one I have no idea if I’ll ever be able to do another one. I seem to think, well, I guess that’s all I have in me. But … I’m going to paint anyway and keep painting until I just don’t like it any more. I can’t imagine that. I love it!

P.S. Great post. I also love watching you grow and learn. You matter.

Love that you are loving painting! And you are such a natural. It’s so important to fill our lives with things that we love and things that bring us joy. You are an inspiration that it’s never too late to try something new. Love you!

    Hi, Ms. Mary!
I was wondering if you know of a local coffee shop in Franklin/ Brentwood. I was trying to find one that was not a Starbucks or another chain store, but I was not successful. I thought you would be the person to ask. :)

    Thanks,
Tricia Ann Lingo (from Beaverdam Creek Farm)

Mary… I like you:-) Thanks for being my weekend partner at Dr. Motley’s seminar!
I’m currently loving making Watercress Soup. I’m craving all things green and this is simple, satisfying and delicious! The other thing I’m loving is revisiting my past Spring issues of my favorite magazine, La Vie Claire…the most beautiful and inspirational magazine I’ve ever come across:-)
    Thanks for your inspirations!

I like you too ;) I haven’t ever made or even thought to make Watercress Soup. Once I’m done with my juice fast I’ll have to check it out. Yum!
