But perhaps, you are a little more conscious about what goes into the mouth’s of your children than the sugar and chemical laden name brand candy. Skittles: 47 grams of sugar. Yikes, lots of sugar in all of those and we’ve only just touched the surface. Here is what you can be sure of: commercial candy will contain trans fat, GMOs, high fructose corn syrup, msg, and tons of chemicals. Overall, there are a lot of healthier ways to approach Halloween and to avoid those unwanted chemicals, GMOs and exorbitant amounts of sugar. Even a simple box of raisins, a bag of mini carrots, organic pretzels or organic fruit leathers would do. Think outside the box.
