God Bless the South. We are so behind the times. LA has had juice bars on every corner for decades I imagine. Nashville, less than a year. In fact, only within the past month have 2 of the 3 juice bars in Nashville swung open their doors. For those of you who know me, I LOVE juice. So this is very exciting for me.
I can remember when Stephanie Waring of juice. Nashville called me up 2 years ago and asked if she could bring some samples to me at the farmers market. Unmarked bottles were handed to me across my market table and I took a refreshing gulp. “If this is what juice is suppose to taste like than I am sold!” Next week I invited her to set up camp at the Market. Fast forward 2 years, and juice Nashville is THE premier place for juice lovers to guzzle down fresh juice. In fact, if you don’t get to the farmers market in the first 30 minutes or pre-order, those suckers are gone.
juice. Nashville uses the Norwalk juice press. This is what sets them apart from the other juicers. They hand press everything ahead of time and bottle it up. Their juicer/press makes their juice the highest quality juice you can get. It is pulp free, cold pressed and packed full of nutrients. Plus, it lasts for up to 3 days, as opposed to needing to consume it immediately. And even better, they deliver and will soon have their own retail space in the Gulch.
One of my very favorite blends from juice. Nashville – SING
Recently, I was invited to tour the newest juicery called The Juice Bar in Brentwood. We walked in and were greeted by Tabitha @Tabbulous. She organized the whole tour with food bloggers via twitter. Don’t you just love social media! This place is adorable! What struck me the most, was the energy of the owners John and Vui Hunt. Without knowing them at all, they were two of the sweetest people I have ever met. It felt like walking into your own family’s store.
We spent the next two hours talking, tasting and learning about the vision behind The Juice Bar. They source as much locally and organic as possible and it’s labeled on the menu. Plus, one of the great things about The Juice Bar is that they offer several raw and vegan food options. Yum! I’ll let the pictures do the talking.

Last, but not least The Urban Juicer is another juice bar that has opened on 8th Ave. I haven’t had an opportunity to meet the owners yet, but am looking forward to. This company has several locations around Nashville and feels the most chain or franchise like. The juices are tasty, and I am happy to have a juice bar close to my house. Although it doesn’t quite have the “heart” of the other two places – this is the place I’m at most often purely because of proximity.
The Urban Juicer has smoothies and juices and a few wraps during lunch. It’s a great quick stop to grab a fresh juice on the go and head back out to take care of your day.
I couldn’t be more proud that my city is finally jumping on the juice band wagon and offering some fabulous choices. If you haven’t ventured out to these in Nashville, do yourself a favor and try each of them. And if you aren’t in Nashville – head out to your local juice bar and give your body a treat.
I’d love to hear who your favorite juicer is, and what your favorite juice concoctions are. Just leave a comment and share where you are from and who you love.
